Where it began

I shared about our first Mass, but let's backup to how this all began. April 3, I was driving back from Abbotsford to Kelowna (approximately 3-3.5 hour drive) and I had downloaded a bunch of YouTube video's so I could listen on the way. I was listening to this video which a Protestant is talking with his friend who is a Catholic theologian. In the video there was something that stuck out to me. The Protestant was asking about when you are "becoming" a Christian or born again, is there something you need to do with the church, such as sign a piece of paper or something? The Catholic talks about how that is part of it all, that you are becoming apart of Christ's body, which is the Church and how could you say that you are part of Christ's body, and yet are not apart of it? First Mass

Our first Mass: Our first mass was at the Westminster Abbey in Mission, BC. We were going to be down in Abby and on the Coast to visit with my Grandpa and so I thought I would try to get into a Mass while down there (if you're reading this in the future and have no idea about Covid-19), it has been a "pandemic" where things have been shut down, including church buildings. Now that the government is relaxing some of these restrictions, places are allowed to open, as long as there are 50 people or less. So, having said that, I contacted the Westminster Abbey to see if we would be able to get in for Mass. Father Leo contacted me and found out who we are and what is up with us (new to the Catholic Church), he then said he would email some people and see if they would be willing to give up their spots for us to attend.
